Centerfield Media gives back!
|
| | Mascot 'Toro' | |
Centerfield Media focuses on maintaining a strong company culture through a fun work environment and participation in charitable events. Employees are given a "quarterly charity bonus" to spend on a charity of their choice. Centerfield invited STEM Advantage to participate in a Charity Fair. During the fair, employees contributed over $4,200 to STEM Advantage! That's almost a full scholarship! Plus Centerfield plans to provide internships and mentors for STEM Advantage Scholars. It's easy to see why Centerfield was honored by the LA Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work in 2016. Thank you Centerfield team!

To learn how your company can benefit from this program, MCS is hosting a complimentary luncheon (including parking) at The Grove on November 17. Please contact Joan Samuels to RSVP and learn about OpenTech LA.

STEM Advantage Scholars attended the Southland Technology conference ("SoTec"), where they helped as room monitors and heard speakers discuss a variety of relevant topics. Lynda Murray-Thomas, Director, IT Solutions, NBCUniversal led a session on the mastery of Project Management. Lynda advocated for the STEM Advantage program as she hosted an intern last summer and has personally mentored several Scholars.
