Dr. Raquel Marquez is a purpose‑driven technology and people leader who serves as the Global Employee Experience Director in HP’s IT organization. She is dedicated to elevating the way employees work, feel, and connect with HP’s technology—building experiences that empower people to bring their best to HP every day, without feeling like its work. Through her leadership, she champions role‑based clarity for HP-on-HP Product, Services and Solutions, connection, and a culture where employees feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow internally.
Before joining HP in 2022, Dr. Marquez spent ten years shy at Farmers Insurance Group, where she led the Information Systems and Technology organization’s transformation efforts in partnership with business and previously the Program Management Office. Her career has been rooted in developing leaders, enabling high‑performing engineering teams, and driving organizational transformation with empathy at its core.
She holds a B.A. from UC Santa Cruz, a Master’s in Project Management, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership, grounding her work in both academic rigor and human‑centered leadership.
Dr. Marquez’s earlier roles at Amgen, Global Tel Link, Citibank, and Bank of America expanded her expertise in program leadership, organizational development, and scalable systems that support thriving teams. Long before her corporate journey, she dedicated herself to mentoring youth in under‑served communities, nurturing confidence and a belief in possibility—values she continues to champion in her mentorship of STEM Advantage scholars and early‑career talent.
Her personal mission has always been consistent: to help people rise, remove barriers, and create environments where individuals and teams can realize their full potential.
Dr. Marquez lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband Omar and their two children, London (17) and Brandon (16), who inspire her work and her why.
