Assistant General Manager, The Aerospace Corporation
Maben is the Assistant General Manager of xLab within The Aerospace Corporation’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer. In this role she is responsible for leading xLab’s staff in their goal of accelerating innovation through prototyping.
Maben joined Aerospace as a member of the technical staff in the Structures Department, where she provided direct structural analyses to a variety of programs of national significance. After rotating through the Advanced Technology Division, she returned to the Structures Department as manager of the Space Structures Section. Maben then became a senior project engineer in the Systems Analysis Department, Launch Operations Division, where she was responsible for delivery of independent acoustic, vibration, shock, coupled loads, and separation analyses to her Air Force customer. Most recently, she was the associate principal director of Directorate H, where she provided leadership to the west coast team in support of a large Class A program.
Maben holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in theoretical and applied mechanics from Northwestern University.
