Marisa Diaz, (she/her/hers) is a Campus Outreach Programs Manager for Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) on the Talent Outreach team at Google. The Talent Outreach team aims to build a more representative workforce by breaking down barriers to entry, creating more equitable hiring practices, and cultivating trust in our partnerships with historically excluded communities. On this team, Marisa leads the Latinx Student Leadership Summit. This summit brings Latinx tech leaders together through workshops that have direct access to industry’s tools and resources to prepare them for future tech roles while showing them how to identify and utilize their unique “Latinx leadership” to foster community within their families, student organizations, and local universities. She also leads Google’s non technical student outreach through the BOLD Immersion program. The program provides a glimpse into the business side of the technology industry, a peer network, specific exposure into Google’s business internship opportunities and product areas.
She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a major in business – marketing. She has worked at Google for six years. Previously, Marisa worked as a partnership coordinator on Google’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Talent Outreach Team, which connects top tech talent with Googlers through events and experiences. She later supported Google’s Chief Diversity Officer and worked on Google’s Leading through Equity & Diversity Team, which is responsible for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives globally at Google. Marisa is an active member of HOLA- Hispanic & Latinx Googlers Network, Women@ Google, and Southern California Google networks to expand opportunities locally.
