Senior Technology Executive
Harriet Boyd was Senior Vice President of Tribune Technology at the Tribune Company. Harriet’s responsibilities included the definition and delivery of technology solutions and investments that enabled Tribune business strategies. In her role, she provided executive leadership and was a liaison with business stakeholders on solution definition and delivery, portfolio management, program outcome accountability, along with vision and problem solving at an enterprise level. She developed and maintained technology roadmaps for digital and print core products. Plus she was responsible to define, prioritize, execute, and measure Technology investment decisions that drive enterprise strategies.
Harriet was responsible also for the general management function for the technology department including budget planning and administration, vendor and contract management, compliance and governance, human resource management, and program and portfolio management. Harriet joined Times Mirror/Tribune in 1990, spending 19 years at the Los Angeles Times, juggling various roles and positions within Technology, Marketing and Finance before joining Tribune Technology in 2008.
Harriet enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and sewing. She is passionate about “helping those who can’t help themselves—primarily children and specifically those that are ill.” She is a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of America and previous Board Chair for the Watts Willowbrook Boys and Girls Club in Los Angeles. Harriet is involved with the Sickle Cell Foundation.

Harriet holds a Bachelor of Arts and MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Anderson School of Management, UCLA.
