Associate Principal Director, The Aerospace Corporation
Maben is the associate principal director of Directorate H within The Aerospace Corporation’s Electronic Programs Division. In this role she is responsible for leading Directorate H’s west coast staff in their support of the development of several space program acquisitions, and she works as the primary interface with the local Engineering and Technology Group in the management of program resources.
Maben joined Aerospace as a member of the technical staff in the Structures Department, where she provided direct structural analyses on a variety of programs of national significance. After rotating through the Advanced Technology Division, she returned to the Structures Department as manager of the Space Structures Section. Maben then became a senior project engineer in the Systems Analysis Department, Launch Operations Division, where she was responsible for delivery of independent acoustic, vibration, shock, coupled loads, and separation analyses to her Air Force customer. Most recently, she was the associate director of the Vehicle Engineering Department, supporting national space systems customers by providing technical leadership during hardware integration and test activities.
Maben holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in theoretical and applied mechanics from Northwestern University.
