
Beatriz Garcia is the Program Associate for Career Programs which includes supporting graduating seniors to secure a full-time role. Beatriz is a first-generation Latina, the oldest daughter of immigrants, and was born and raised in LA. She received her undergraduate Business Management degree from CSUN and her masters in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University. Her career has been in the nonprofit sector supporting historically underrepresented and underserved communities with a focus on equity, access, and social justice.
Before joining STEM Advantage, Beatriz worked as the Director of Operations for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) where she was responsible for the management and execution of the largest STEM conference for Hispanics in the country. In addition, Beatriz worked at 826LA, an organization dedicated to supporting Youth in Los Angeles with their reading and writing skills. She served as the Director of Operations building and developing organizational infrastructure in support of the organization’s mission.
